Ear of Wheat Brooch in White Gold

Since the first agricultural communities, wheat has been essential to the continuity of life and associated with production, abundance and wealth.

In parts of the ancient world, grain also served as a medium of exchange and payment. The ear of wheat consequently became one of the most enduring symbols of fertility and plenty. The design also refers to D’Evin’s name: among the word’s meanings across different languages and centuries, “evin” in Anatolian Turkish denotes the essence within a grain of wheat. The figure turns that meaning into the house’s own emblem.
