For Evin Tümay, design is less the beginning of a new journey than a form of expression shaped over years by experience, passion and roots, and enriched by the perspectives of different disciplines.
After an education centred on planning and design, she spent many years in finance and strategy. She built new ventures, led teams and guided transformation programmes. The experience gave her more than a strong professional foundation: it taught her to see the whole, question the detail, approach the same situation from different perspectives and turn an idea into a sound structure.
Her lifelong passion for jewellery brought these strands together in the distinctive designs of D’Evin.
Tümay approaches Anatolia’s cultural heritage not as a catalogue of motifs, but as a rich memory to be reconsidered. Rather than repeat historical symbols and forms, she carries their meaning into the jewellery language of the present.
The masculine and genderless approach she has developed at D’Evin grows from the same perspective. She sees jewellery as more than an object of adornment: it is a field of design capable of carrying character, thought and personal conviction, expressed through pieces made to transcend time.
