Small Eternity Knot Brooch 1

Rooted in Celtic symbolism, the eternal knot embodies the ideas of timelessness and continuity.

With neither a discernible beginning nor an end, its uninterrupted lines conceive of time not as a linear progression, but as a continuous cycle. The knot thus moves beyond the idea of connection to become a visual expression of existence and continuity. Its four sections symbolise birth, life, death and rebirth. Rather than separate stages, they form an interconnected cycle, each completing the others. Every ending is also the threshold of a new beginning.

In D’Evin’s interpretation, the Celtic Eternal Knot recalls the universal human longing for infinity, while pointing to the strength from which the will to carry on, against all odds, ultimately draws.
