From the interview

  1. 01

How did the idea for D’Evin begin?

The idea took form this year, but it rests on experience gathered over a lifetime. More than twenty-five years in business, an interest in design that began in childhood and a passion for jewellery I have carried for as long as I can remember have all found expression in D’Evin.

  2. 02

D’Evin was born from a desire to translate Anatolia’s cultural heritage into a contemporary language. Which values did you most want to preserve?

My first source of inspiration is the cultural wealth of the land we live on, followed by the influence of my own roots seen through that perspective. Wisdom, good judgement, family and love are among the ideas that affect me most. In my designs I give contemporary form to the feelings those ideas awaken in me.

  3. 03

Strength lies at the centre of D’Evin. What form does strength take today, and how do you redefine it through jewellery?

In today’s world, being strong feels more vital than ever. Everything moves faster and changes more rapidly than before. The struggles are harder and expectations are higher; they ask for more effort, more patience and far greater resilience. It matters to feel that strength. D’Evin is an expression of it.

  4. 04

Men’s jewellery is often constrained by material and scale. How does D’Evin loosen those boundaries?

First, I would say it is bold. That is the feeling carried by a collection made in gold and precious stones. I also allowed myself freedom with colour, because jewellery is a form of expression to me. The man I had in mind cares about elegance, has courage and confidence, and is unafraid to reveal his own style. Every piece has its own story, and I imagined the people who would recognise themselves in the energy of those stories.

  5. 05

The collection feels both masculine and unisex. Is that balance an aesthetic choice, or a position shaped by our time?

The aim is less to align with current aesthetic tendencies than to return to original meanings. Throughout history jewellery has symbolised strength and belonging, and for men in particular it once made status and title visible. D’Evin reinterprets that inheritance, bringing meaningful figures from the past into the freedom of today’s design language.
